Neil MacGregor

Sir Neil MacGregor OM is a prominent British art historian, museum director, and author. Educated at Oxford, the École Normale Supérieure, and Edinburgh, he served as director of the National Gallery in London and the British Museum.

He is best known as the author of landmark historical works including A History of the World in 100 Objects, Shakespeare’s Restless World, and Germany: Memories of a Nation.
