Confess – Colleen Hoover
Auburn Reid is a young woman who has already experienced more heartbreak than most people do in a lifetime. She has moved to Dallas to rebuild her life and fight for something she loves deeply, and she is determined not to let anything distract her. Then, desperate for extra money, she walks into an art studio looking for work.
In Confess, by bestselling author Colleen Hoover, the studio belongs to Owen Gentry, a mysterious and talented artist whose paintings are inspired by anonymous confessions that strangers leave in a slot on his door. Auburn is drawn to Owen and to his work, and an intense connection develops between them. But Owen is hiding secrets that could threaten everything Auburn has worked for.
As their relationship grows, Auburn must decide whether to trust Owen, and Owen must decide whether to reveal the truth, knowing that it might cost him the woman he is falling in love with. The novel explores love, loss, sacrifice and the power of telling the truth, with emotional twists and revelations along the way.
A unique feature of the book is the inclusion of artwork inspired by real confessions from readers, created by artist Danny O’Connor, which appear throughout the story.
Romantic and emotional, Confess is a compelling read for fans of Colleen Hoover and contemporary romance. It was adapted into a television series. It contains sexual content and mature themes, and is intended for adult readers.
