Ben Elton

Ben Elton is a celebrated British comedian, author, playwright, and television writer. A pioneer of the 1980s British alternative comedy movement, he co-wrote classic sitcoms like The Young Ones and Blackadder, and created the hit series The Thin Blue Line.

He is also a prolific bestselling novelist, having written over a dozen books, including Stark, Popcorn, High Society, and Time and Time Again. His satirical novels blend biting social commentary, dark humor, and gripping suspense.

Elton’s creative influence spans stand-up comedy, West End theatre—including co-creating the global Queen musical We Will Rock You—and literature. His sharp intellect continues to satirize modern cultural absurdities.
