Deborah Eyre

Professor Deborah Eyre is an acclaimed British educationalist, author, and founder of High Performance Learning (HPL). With an extensive academic background in gifted education, she has advised schools and governments internationally on optimizing student performance and educational policy.

She is best known for her books High Performance Learning: How to Become a World Class School and Great Minds and How to Grow Them (co-authored with Wendy Berliner). Her framework argues that high academic performance is achievable by the vast majority of students with proper cognitive scaffolding.

Eyre’s HPL philosophy has been adopted by leading schools across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. Her pioneering research continues to challenge traditional notions of innate student intelligence in favor of systematic skill development.
