Eric Ries

Eric Ries is an American entrepreneur, blogger, and business strategist who fundamentally changed modern software and product development. After experiencing early startup failures, he synthesized principles from lean manufacturing into a new methodology for rapid innovation.

He is best known as the creator of the Lean Startup movement and the author of the definitive bestseller The Lean Startup: How Today’s Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses. He also authored The Startup Way, applying these principles to large enterprises.

Ries’s concepts of the ‘Minimum Viable Product’ (MVP) and ‘Build-Measure-Learn’ loops have become the standard operational doctrine in Silicon Valley and beyond. His methodologies continue to drive innovation across startups and Fortune 500 companies alike.
