James Redfield

James Redfield is an American author, lecturer, and screenwriter best known for his spiritual adventure novel The Celestine Prophecy. Educated at Auburn University, where he studied sociology and counseling, he worked for over a decade as a therapist with abused adolescents before turning to writing.

Self-published initially in 1993 before becoming a worldwide publishing phenomenon, The Celestine Prophecy combined adventure fiction with Eastern spiritual insights and synchronicity, selling millions of copies globally. He followed this success with several sequels, including The Tenth Insight and The Secret of Shambhala.
